Sai Baba

Sai Baba is a venerated saint in India (and someone even claims to be his reincarnation).

I like the fact that he could be a double for Willie Nelson, and so have started keeping track of various places that we've run into him...

Plumbing repair shop in Pali Market, Mumbai

On top of the refrigerator in our Delhi hotel

Hanging from the mirror of the car we rented to drive from Delhi to Agra to Bharatpur to Jaipur

In the fabric shop, Jaipur

In a street shrine, Jaipur
My favorite combination: in our school's business office!
I went in to take care of some paperwork, and who did I see? Sai Baba! No, not the guy sitting in the next office at his desk, that is our financial whiz Joy (for Joydeep). Check out orange Sai in front of the window.

But what, what is that behind Joy's shoulder by the Indian flag? It is his own personal statue of Sai Baba.

As I took the picture and turned around to leave, 2 ladies on the other side of the office said, "You're not leaving without taking a picture of our Sai Baba, are you?" And lo and behold, there were 2 more!

4 Sai Baba's in one small office. It doesn't get any better than that!!

In a Kerala taxi (bonus for having Sai Baba's reincarnation as well as the original model!)
In a truck on SV road and on an suv going towards downtown Mumbai
